The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रोत्रोत्सवं तव कलं कलकण्ठ कोऽत्र नादं श्रृणोति रतिविग्रहसंधिदूतम् ।
काकैरुलूककलहैरिह गुल्मकेषु क्रेंकारघर्घररवैः श्रुतिरागतास्तम् ॥ ७५ ॥

śrotrotsavaṃ tava kalaṃ kalakaṇṭha ko'tra nādaṃ śrṛṇoti rativigrahasaṃdhidūtam |
kākairulūkakalahairiha gulmakeṣu kreṃkāragharghararavaiḥ śrutirāgatāstam || 75 ||

How delightfully do people listen to the sweet notes of the cuckoo, which unites the separated lovers together; but who can brook to hearken unto the jarring cries of the crow or hooting of the owl, without disgust.
