The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्षुधादिना पदार्थेन दुःखं केनचिदेव हि ।
तमो मेघपटेनेव स्वभावो ह्यत्र कारणम् ॥ १११ ॥

kṣudhādinā padārthena duḥkhaṃ kenacideva hi |
tamo meghapaṭeneva svabhāvo hyatra kāraṇam || 111 ||

Some are tormented by their hunger and poverty, and are involved in misery like the face of nature under the darkness of clouds.
