The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चित्त चारण चार्वाक चतुर्दिक्कुक्षिभिक्षुक ।
श्वेव व्यर्थमनर्थाय मैवं विहर हे जगत् ॥ २६ ॥

citta cāraṇa cārvāka caturdikkukṣibhikṣuka |
śveva vyarthamanarthāya maivaṃ vihara he jagat || 26 ||

O my mind! that art wandering all about like a mendicant, in order to fill the belly with food; and actest as a charvaka materialist, to make a god of thy body, and to enslave thyself to its service.
