The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आमोदमन्दमकरन्दकरालवातव्याधूतपङ्कपुटपाटनपाटवेन ।
उद्यन्महापटपटा वयतीव लेखा क्षुभ्यत्खगाश्रितलतोज्झितपुष्पवर्षम् ॥ ८ ॥

āmodamandamakarandakarālavātavyādhūtapaṅkapuṭapāṭanapāṭavena |
udyanmahāpaṭapaṭā vayatīva lekhā kṣubhyatkhagāśritalatojjhitapuṣpavarṣam || 8 ||

The rippling waves of the lake by gentle breeze, and the wettish humming bees fluttering over the bed of the lotus lake, made a noise all around; like the falling of flowers from the branches of trees, lying on the bank of a river.
