The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

समसंविद्विलासाढ्ये यद्यदा यतिदेहके ।
हिंस्रचेतः पतत्याशु समतामेति तत्तदा ॥ ४८ ॥

samasaṃvidvilāsāḍhye yadyadā yatidehake |
hiṃsracetaḥ patatyāśu samatāmeti tattadā || 48 ||

So when a ravenous beast comes in the sight of a dispassionate Yogi, its envious nature is changed to dispassionateness, and it desists from doing him any injury.
