The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथ मूर्खरुषा तुल्यस्तापः संतापयन्प्रजाः ।
जजृम्भे झर्झराकीर्णवनविस्तारकर्कशः ॥ ७२ ॥

atha mūrkharuṣā tulyastāpaḥ saṃtāpayanprajāḥ |
jajṛmbhe jharjharākīrṇavanavistārakarkaśaḥ || 72 ||

Their heat chased the coldness as the rage of the illiterate enrages the learned, and made the moist ground as dry, as when the sultry winds strew the forest land with dried leaves.
