1) Adj. (f. tārikā) — a) übersetzend , hinüberbringend über , erlösend aus , rettend [Indische studien von Weber 14,380.390.] Auch als Beiw. Śiva's. brahman n. ein best. Erlösung bringendes Gebet. — b) oxyt. den Sternen gehörig.

2) m. — a) *Steuermann. — b) Nomen proprium eines von Indra mit Hülfe Skanda’s besiegten Āditya (auch *eines Feindes des Viṣṇu). Pl. die Kinder des Tāraka.
