The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.25.5

रसार्द्रं खे भ्रमद्धंसं रात्रिसंकोचभाजनम् ।
पातालपङ्कनिर्मग्ननागनाथमृणालकम् ॥ ५ ॥

rasārdraṃ khe bhramaddhaṃsaṃ rātrisaṃkocabhājanam |
pātālapaṅkanirmagnanāganāthamṛṇālakam || 5 ||

It is wet with moisture, which is sucked by the sun, resembling the swan swimming about in the air. It folds itself in sleep in the darkness of night in absence of the sun.
