The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.25.6

कदाचिदास्पदाम्भोधिकम्पकम्पितदिग्दलम् ।
अधोनालगतानन्तदैत्यदानवकण्टकम् ॥ ६ ॥

kadācidāspadāmbhodhikampakampitadigdalam |
adhonālagatānantadaityadānavakaṇṭakam || 6 ||

The earth like a lotus is situated on the surface of the waters of the ocean, which make it shake at times, and cause the earthquake by their motion. It is supported upon the serpent Vasuki serving for its understalk, and is girt about by demons as its thorns and prickles.{GL_NOTE:73119:}
