The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.4.3

जीवन्मुक्त मुनिश्रेष्ठं केवलं हि पदार्थवत् ।
पश्यामः पुरतो नास्य पुनर्विघ्नोऽन्तराशयम् ॥ ३ ॥

jīvanmukta muniśreṣṭhaṃ kevalaṃ hi padārthavat |
paśyāmaḥ purato nāsya punarvighno'ntarāśayam || 3 ||

And though we see before us the living liberated sage (Vyasa) as an embodied person, yet we have no doubt of the detachment of his inward soul from the (mortal coil of his) body.
