1) zurück , heim Mit i , gā , gam u.s.w. heimkehren , wieder weggehen , entfliehen ; mit dā zurückgeben , vergelten , herausgeben ; mit bhū sich umkehren , sich wenden ; mit as zurückfallen auf (Dat.). —

2) wieder , von Neuem , abermals. punarbhūyaḥ dass. Mit bhū wieder , entstehen , wieder neu werden ; sich wieder verheirathen (vom Weibe). punaḥpunaḥ und das einfache punar ([Indische sprüche 3914.7272]) zu wiederholten Malen , immer und immer wieder. na punaḥ punaḥ nimmer wieder [Indische sprüche 41,24,4126.] —

3) hinwiederum. so v.a. ferner (am Anfange des Satzes [Carakasaṃhitā 2,7,6,3]). nun , ausserdem , noch (weiter ausführend oder einfach anreihend). ādaupunar-paścāt zuerst-dann-später [Indische sprüche 7727.] punaraparam ausserdem , dazu kommt noch dass [Kād. (1872) 180,11.] —
