The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सर्वसंसारदोषाणां तृष्णैका दीर्घदुःखदा ।
अन्तःपुरस्थमपि या योजयत्यतिसंकटे ॥ ३२ ॥

sarvasaṃsāradoṣāṇāṃ tṛṣṇaikā dīrghaduḥkhadā |
antaḥpurasthamapi yā yojayatyatisaṃkaṭe || 32 ||

Of all worldly evils, avarice is the source of the longest woe. She exposes to peril even the most secluded man.
