तमसाऽतीव कष्टेन व्याप्तं सर्वं चराचरम् ।
ताभ्यां कृतेन वेदापहारेण चतुर्मुखस्य ज्ञानभ्रंशादधर्मवृद्ध्या लोकस्य दुरवस्थाप्राप्तिः ।
हृतवेदः कृतो ब्रह्मा अभूदन्यस्तु तत्क्षणात् ॥ 55 ॥

tamasā'tīva kaṣṭena vyāptaṃ sarvaṃ carācaram |
tābhyāṃ kṛtena vedāpahāreṇa caturmukhasya jñānabhraṃśādadharmavṛddhyā lokasya duravasthāprāptiḥ |
hṛtavedaḥ kṛto brahmā abhūdanyastu tatkṣaṇāt || 55 ||
