The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 13.73

तथापि पापीयसि निर्जिते गते दिशः प्रसेदुः प्रबभौ निशाकरः ।
दिवो निपेतुर्भुवि पुष्पवृष्टयो रराज योषेव विकल्मषा निशा ॥ ७३ ॥

tathāpi pāpīyasi nirjite gate diśaḥ praseduḥ prababhau niśākaraḥ |
divo nipeturbhuvi puṣpavṛṣṭayo rarāja yoṣeva vikalmaṣā niśā || 73 ||

When the wicked one thus fled vanquished, the different regions of the sky grew clear, the moon shone forth, showers of flowers fell down from the sky upon the earth, and the night gleamed out like a spotless maiden.
