This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 36.4

नृपतिपतिकुलोदितो शाक्यराजात्मजो बालसूर्यप्रकाशो विदू ।
रवितरुणप्रभातिरेकेहि वर्णप्रभैः लक्षणैर् लक्षितांगो वरैः ॥ ४ ॥

nṛpatipatikulodito śākyarājātmajo bālasūryaprakāśo vidū |
ravitaruṇaprabhātirekehi varṇaprabhaiḥ lakṣaṇair lakṣitāṃgo varaiḥ || 4 ||

It is the son of the Shakyan king, the scion of a kingly race. Adorned with his many radiantly beautiful and excellent marks, he is resplendent like the newly risen sun. (4)
