223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.125.71

देशाद्देशान्तरप्राप्तौ यन्मध्ये संविदो वपुः ।
अनुन्मेषं चिदाकाशं तद्विद्यात्तन्मयं जगत् ॥ ७१ ॥

deśāddeśāntaraprāptau yanmadhye saṃvido vapuḥ |
anunmeṣaṃ cidākāśaṃ tadvidyāttanmayaṃ jagat || 71 ||

As a man passing from one place to another, is unmindful of the intermediate scenes; so the attention being directed solely to the sight of the intellectual void, the thought of all the world and other existences is wholly lost in the same.
