The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.118.28

पश्यात्र नाथ सरसः कमलोत्पलकुमुदबिसमृणालानाम् ।
कह्लारपत्रपयसा भारानादाय बालिकाश्चलिताः ॥ २८ ॥

paśyātra nātha sarasaḥ kamalotpalakumudabisamṛṇālānām |
kahlārapatrapayasā bhārānādāya bālikāścalitāḥ || 28 ||

Look there, O lord! to the slender stalks of the lotuses, supporting the burden of the water on the lotus leaves; like yon tender damsels carrying the water pots on their heads.
