The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अत्यन्तमप्यारटतः शब्दो न श्रूयते मम ।
केनचित्सुरलोकेषु स्वप्नपुंस इवानघ ॥ २६ ॥

atyantamapyāraṭataḥ śabdo na śrūyate mama |
kenacitsuralokeṣu svapnapuṃsa ivānagha || 26 ||

I called them aloud, but they neither heard nor gave heed to my voice; and they appeared to me as empty phantoms as the images of our dreams and visions.
