The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एकोदये द्वितीयस्य न सत्ता दिनरात्रयोः ।
ज्ञानं नाज्ञानतामेति च्छाया नायाति तापताम् ॥ १२ ॥
ekodaye dvitīyasya na sattā dinarātrayoḥ |
jñānaṃ nājñānatāmeti cchāyā nāyāti tāpatām || 12 ||
The presence of the one, nullifies the existence of the opposite other; as in the cases of day and night, of darkness and light, and of knowledge and ignorance.
