The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संयमान्मनसः शान्तिमेति संसारविभ्रमः ।
मन्दरेऽस्पन्दतां याते यथा क्षीरमहार्णवः ॥ ६५ ॥

saṃyamānmanasaḥ śāntimeti saṃsāravibhramaḥ |
mandare'spandatāṃ yāte yathā kṣīramahārṇavaḥ || 65 ||

Steadiness of the mind is attended with the stillness of worldly commotions, as the suspension of the churning Mandara, was attended with the calmness of the ocean of milk.
