The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्ववासनानुरूपाणि दुःखानि नरके पुनः ।
अनुभूयाथ योनीषु जायन्ते भूतले चिरात् ॥ १७ ॥

svavāsanānurūpāṇi duḥkhāni narake punaḥ |
anubhūyātha yonīṣu jāyante bhūtale cirāt || 17 ||

And others again that having undergone the torments of hell, according to their inordinate desires in life, are brought to be re-born on earth, in a variety of births in different forms.
