The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.26.45

असदेवाङ्ग सदिव भाति पृथ्व्यादिवेदनात् ।
यथा बालस्य वेतालो नाभाति तदवेदनात् ॥ ४५ ॥

asadevāṅga sadiva bhāti pṛthvyādivedanāt |
yathā bālasya vetālo nābhāti tadavedanāt || 45 ||

Belief in materialism leads one to think his unreal earthly frame as real, as a boy's belief in ghosts makes him take a shadow for a spirit.
