पुत्रीति जाता महतीह चिन्ता कस्मै प्रदेयेति महान् वितर्कः ।
दत्त्वा सुखं प्राप्स्यति वा न वेति कन्या-पितृत्वं खलु नाम कष्टम् ॥ २२२ ॥

putrīti jātā mahatīha cintā kasmai pradeyeti mahān vitarkaḥ |
dattvā sukhaṃ prāpsyati vā na veti kanyā-pitṛtvaṃ khalu nāma kaṣṭam || 222 ||
