The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

रामामुखेन्दून् परिभूतपद्मान् यत्रापयातो ऽप्यविमन्य भानुः ।
सन्तापयोगादिव वारि वेष्टुं पश्चात्समुद्राभिमुखः प्रतस्थे ॥ ६ ॥

rāmāmukhendūn paribhūtapadmān yatrāpayāto 'pyavimanya bhānuḥ |
santāpayogādiva vāri veṣṭuṃ paścātsamudrābhimukhaḥ pratasthe || 6 ||

There the sun, even although he had retired, was unable to scorn the moon-like faces of its women which put the lotuses to shame, and as if from the access of passion, hurried towards the western ocean to enter the (cooling) water.
