The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उपायस्तु तथा तेन दृष्टिर्वास्तीह कीदृशी ।
अहो नु वितता भूमिः कष्टमेतादृशी दशा ॥ १८ ॥

upāyastu tathā tena dṛṣṭirvāstīha kīdṛśī |
aho nu vitatā bhūmiḥ kaṣṭametādṛśī daśā || 18 ||

What other way to our true felicity can there be, than this that has been shown by thee? or else I find this wide-extended field of the earth, to be so full of our woe and misery.
