The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.116.22

दिग्भित्तिबद्धमिदमूर्ध्वतलान्तरिक्ष मुर्वीतलं घनपुराचलभूरिभाण्डम् ।
विद्याधरामरमहोरगजालकारं लोकौघसंसरणसंघपिपीलिकाढ्यम् ॥ २२ ॥

digbhittibaddhamidamūrdhvatalāntarikṣa murvītalaṃ ghanapurācalabhūribhāṇḍam |
vidyādharāmaramahoragajālakāraṃ lokaughasaṃsaraṇasaṃghapipīlikāḍhyam || 22 ||

The world is an old and decayed mansion, of which the four sides are its walls, the sky its covering roof above and the earth its ground floor below; the hills and mountains are its pillars and columns, and the cities and towns are its rooms and apartments; and all the various classes of animal beings, are as the ants of this abode.
