The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.75.21

भृङ्गीशो रक्तमांसं स्वं स्वमात्रे प्रवितीर्णवान् ।
मुक्तयैव धिया राम धीरया ध्यानधौतया ॥ २१ ॥

bhṛṅgīśo raktamāṃsaṃ svaṃ svamātre pravitīrṇavān |
muktayaiva dhiyā rāma dhīrayā dhyānadhautayā || 21 ||

Mark how Bhringi the attendant of Siva, was absorbed in his meditation, and thinking himself to be freed from the burden of his body, made a free offering of his blood and flesh to his goddess Gauri.
