The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

परिघ उवाच ।
यद्यत्संसारजालेऽस्मिन्क्रियते कर्म भूमिप ।
तत्समाहितचित्तस्य सुखायान्यस्य नानघ ॥ २ ॥

parigha uvāca |
yadyatsaṃsārajāle'sminkriyate karma bhūmipa |
tatsamāhitacittasya sukhāyānyasya nānagha || 2 ||

Parigha said:—Whatever acts of goodness are done by men of well governed minds, in this earth of strife, they all redound to their happiness; but the evil deeds of ungoverned minds are not so, but lead to their misery.
