The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.47.43

चित्तचिन्तितविस्तारं तन्निवेशमयं परम् ।
गन्धर्ववदसावात्मश्वपचत्वं च दृष्टवान् ॥ ४३ ॥

cittacintitavistāraṃ tanniveśamayaṃ param |
gandharvavadasāvātmaśvapacatvaṃ ca dṛṣṭavān || 43 ||

It was as spacious a place as what he had seen in his vision, and beheld his own likeness in the dream appearing in the figures of the chandalas, as one sees the shape of a Gandharva or ghost, in his dream or delirium.
