The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.43.38

ब्रह्मविष्ण्विन्द्ररुद्राद्याश्चिरसंपूजिता अपि ।
उपप्लवान्मनोव्याधेर्न त्रायन्तेऽपि वत्सलाः ॥ ३८ ॥

brahmaviṣṇvindrarudrādyāścirasaṃpūjitā api |
upaplavānmanovyādherna trāyante'pi vatsalāḥ || 38 ||

They may worship Brahma, Vishnu and the Rudras for ever, and gain their favour also, and yet can have no salvation owing to the perturbed state of their minds.
