प्रतिबिम्बे न दृश्यन्ते स्वात्मबिम्बगतैरपि ।
यथा दर्पणरत्नाद्यास्तथा कार्ये महाधियः ॥ ४२ ॥

pratibimbe na dṛśyante svātmabimbagatairapi |
yathā darpaṇaratnādyāstathā kārye mahādhiyaḥ || 42 ||

The wise witness the objects as they are reflected in the mirror of their minds, just as the looking glass and gems receive the images of things.
