The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तदानन्तरगानन्यान्प्राणादीन्निकटस्थितान् ।
बन्धूनतीतान्सुबहून्कस्मात्त्वं नानुशोचसि ॥ ३८ ॥

tadānantaragānanyānprāṇādīnnikaṭasthitān |
bandhūnatītānsubahūnkasmāttvaṃ nānuśocasi || 38 ||

Shouldst thou feel so much for the friends, by whom thou art beset in this life; why dost thou then not mourn for them, that are dead and gone in thy present and past lives?
