The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.42.42

कोशकारवदाबद्धं शोकाकारपदं गतम् ।
तन्मात्रवृन्दावयवमनन्तनरकातपम् ॥ ४२ ॥

kośakāravadābaddhaṃ śokākārapadaṃ gatam |
tanmātravṛndāvayavamanantanarakātapam || 42 ||

It is confined as the silkworm in its own cell, where it is doomed to dwell with its sorrow and pain; and though it is but a minim in its shape, it is the seat of endless hell-fire.
