The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पाणिपादमयं देहमिन्द्रियाणि विदुर्बुधाः ।
दहोऽसौ ज्ञायते लोके सूयतेऽपि च जीवति ॥ २५ ॥

pāṇipādamayaṃ dehamindriyāṇi vidurbudhāḥ |
daho'sau jñāyate loke sūyate'pi ca jīvati || 25 ||

The senses are next furnished with their organs called the organs of sense, which being joined with the organs of action, the hands and feet are jointly denominated the body.
