The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.17.11

एवं नगरवृन्दानि नभस्संकल्परूपिणि ।
सन्ति तानि न दृश्यन्ते मिथ्याज्ञानदृशं विना ॥ ११ ॥

evaṃ nagaravṛndāni nabhassaṃkalparūpiṇi |
santi tāni na dṛśyante mithyājñānadṛśaṃ vinā || 11 ||

So are all places and things but imaginary ideas, and show themselves as real objects, to the purblind sight of the ignorant only.
