The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हिंसित्वा रक्तमांसानि संत्यक्ता ये महाजनाः ।
तेभ्यो विधुरनाडीभ्यो ये जातास्तेऽपि तादृशाः ॥ २८ ॥

hiṃsitvā raktamāṃsāni saṃtyaktā ye mahājanāḥ |
tebhyo vidhuranāḍībhyo ye jātāste'pi tādṛśāḥ || 28 ||

Those whom I left alive after devouring their flesh and blood, they begat a race as lean and veinless as they had become themselves.
