The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सा जीवसंविद्गगने वातेन मिलिता सती ।
खे दूरं गन्तुमारेभे वासनानुविधायिनी ॥ ७ ॥

sā jīvasaṃvidgagane vātena militā satī |
khe dūraṃ gantumārebhe vāsanānuvidhāyinī || 7 ||

His living soul being joined with its spiritual body, began to fly higher and higher in the air; as it was led by its inward desire or expectation of ascending to heaven.
