The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.46.21

अथोदभूद्गुणध्वानं चटच्चटदिति स्फुटम् ।
रचितांशुमयाम्भोदाश्चेरुः परपरम्पराः ॥ २१ ॥

athodabhūdguṇadhvānaṃ caṭaccaṭaditi sphuṭam |
racitāṃśumayāmbhodāśceruḥ paraparamparāḥ || 21 ||

Now the twanging of the bow strings emitted a clattering (Chatachata) sound; and the forces of the enemy advanced in battle array, like bodies of clouds with rainbows amidst them.
