The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.39.6

मीलत्पक्षाः क्षणात्सुप्ताः कृच्छ्रप्रोच्छ्रितकन्धराः ।
कुलायेषु खगा आसञ्छवाङ्गेष्विव हेतयः ॥ ६ ॥

mīlatpakṣāḥ kṣaṇātsuptāḥ kṛcchraprocchritakandharāḥ |
kulāyeṣu khagā āsañchavāṅgeṣviva hetayaḥ || 6 ||

The birds lay with their folded wings and fallen crests in their nests, as the dead bodies were lying in the field, covered with their wounds and weapons.
