The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.14.38

अत्रान्तरे महाकाश इत्थमेष गणोऽप्यसन् ।
स्वात्मैव सदिवोदेति चिच्चमत्करणात्मकः ॥ ३८ ॥

atrāntare mahākāśa itthameṣa gaṇo'pyasan |
svātmaiva sadivodeti ciccamatkaraṇātmakaḥ || 38 ||

Thus the whole body of living beings, that had been as inexistent as air before, come into existence, and rise resplendent with the wonderful intellect.
