Verse 2.17.35

अन्यसंकल्पचित्तस्था नगरश्रीरिवासती ।
अलभ्यवस्तुपार्श्वस्थस्वप्नयुद्धचिरारवा ॥ ३५ ॥

anyasaṃkalpacittasthā nagaraśrīrivāsatī |
alabhyavastupārśvasthasvapnayuddhacirāravā || 35 ||

Aiming at the object of another person is as vain as looking at the beauty of an imaginary city, and sitting in expectation of an unattainable object. It is as a noisy fighting for something in sleep.
