The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अविवेकास्पदा भ्रष्टाः कष्टे रूढा न सत्पदे ।
अन्धकूपमिवापन्ना वराकाश्चक्षुरादयः ॥ ५ ॥

avivekāspadā bhraṣṭāḥ kaṣṭe rūḍhā na satpade |
andhakūpamivāpannā varākāścakṣurādayaḥ || 5 ||

The senses of an unreasonable man, ever run astray to the wrong and never turn to the right way; so the eyes of a blind man lead him but to fall into the pit.
