This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.205

यथा निषण्णो जिनो क्रकुच्छन्दो प्रभासमानो दिश वृक्षमूले ।
तथास्य कायो स्फुटो लक्षणेहि मा अत्र तात जने अप्रसादं ॥ २०५ ॥

yathā niṣaṇṇo jino krakucchando prabhāsamāno diśa vṛkṣamūle |
tathāsya kāyo sphuṭo lakṣaṇehi mā atra tāta jane aprasādaṃ || 205 ||

“Like the Conqueror Krakucchanda who sat at the foot of the tree irradiating the four quarters, so is his body covered with the marks of excellence. Do not, father, breed distrust of him... (205)
