This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.202

यथा च एषो इह लोकधातुं ओभासि सर्वां शुभरूपधारी ।
भिन्दित्व मेरुं महचक्रवाडं समुद्रमध्ये यथ शैलराजा ॥ २०२ ॥

yathā ca eṣo iha lokadhātuṃ obhāsi sarvāṃ śubharūpadhārī |
bhinditva meruṃ mahacakravāḍaṃ samudramadhye yatha śailarājā || 202 ||

“(See) how he with his bright beauty lights up this whole world, pervading Meru and Great Cakravada; how he is like a mighty rock in mid-ocean. (202)
