The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथ तौ पितरौ तेषां सवधूकौ सुदुःखितौ ।
कृशीभूतौ दीनमुखौ निराशौ गृहमागतौ ॥ ५१ ॥

atha tau pitarau teṣāṃ savadhūkau suduḥkhitau |
kṛśībhūtau dīnamukhau nirāśau gṛhamāgatau || 51 ||

At this the parents and their daughters, were greatly dismayed and disheartened; and returned disappointed to their home, with their melancholy countenances.
