ब्रह्माण्डभाग ऊर्ध्वस्थो विराजः शिर उच्यते ।
अधोभागोऽस्य पादाख्यो नितम्बो मध्यमात्रखम् ॥ ६ ॥

brahmāṇḍabhāga ūrdhvastho virājaḥ śira ucyate |
adhobhāgo'sya pādākhyo nitambo madhyamātrakham || 6 ||

The upper part of Brahma's egg, is termed as the head of Virat; the lower part is styled his footstool, and the midway region is called his waist.
