The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जाग्रतः स्वप्नसंदृष्टयोद्धारभटिवेदनम् ।
यथा स्मृतिगतं नासन्न सत्तद्वदसौ स्थितः ॥ ४३ ॥

jāgrataḥ svapnasaṃdṛṣṭayoddhārabhaṭivedanam |
yathā smṛtigataṃ nāsanna sattadvadasau sthitaḥ || 43 ||

He remains neither as a reality, nor entirely as an unreality; but like the notion of a waking man, of a warrior seen to be fighting in his dream.
