The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.47.36

ततो भोगनिरासेन सह स्वार्थनिराकृतिः ।
परमायै सुविश्रान्त्यै क्रियते कृतिभिः क्रमात् ॥ ३६ ॥

tato bhoganirāsena saha svārthanirākṛtiḥ |
paramāyai suviśrāntyai kriyate kṛtibhiḥ kramāt || 36 ||

Thus the aversion to the wealth and possessions of others, leads the wise and holy man by degrees to be averse to the retaining of anything for himself.
