The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.128.80

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
विश्वामित्रमुनिं प्राह वसिष्ठो भगवानृषिः ।
ब्रूहि विश्वामित्र मुने रामो राजीवलोचनः ।
कोऽयमभूद्बुधः किं वा मनुष्यो वाथ राघवः ॥ ८० ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
viśvāmitramuniṃ prāha vasiṣṭho bhagavānṛṣiḥ |
brūhi viśvāmitra mune rāmo rājīvalocanaḥ |
ko'yamabhūdbudhaḥ kiṃ vā manuṣyo vātha rāghavaḥ || 80 ||

Vasishtha then said to viswamitra:—Tell me sir, who was this lotus-eyed Rama in his past life, whether he had been a god or sage or an ordinary man.
