The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.111.21

बृहस्पतिरुवाच ।
चित्तं सर्वमिति प्राहुस्तत्त्यक्त्वा पुत्र राजसे ।
चित्तत्यागं विदुः सर्वत्यागं सर्वविदो जनाः ॥ २१ ॥

bṛhaspatiruvāca |
cittaṃ sarvamiti prāhustattyaktvā putra rājase |
cittatyāgaṃ viduḥ sarvatyāgaṃ sarvavido janāḥ || 21 ||

Brihaspati said:—I told you my son, to forsake your all, and this all means the mind, which comprehends all things in it; it is by forsaking your mind that you can gain your perfect felicity, because the learned know the mind to be all in all, on account of its being the container of every thing in itself, and there being nothing, besides the ideas of them in our minds.
